The Brighton Film Festival

Winning by a landslide, this year’s Audience Award, supported by MUBI, goes to Nadine Labaki’s Capernaum. Our audiences called it ‘a truly magnificent film’ and ‘heart wrenchingly wonderful’ – catch it on general release in February next year.

Audience Award runner-up: Dead Good

We’re very happy to announce that this year’s runner-up goes to Brighton-based filmmaker Rehana Rose’s intimate and affecting documentary, Dead Good, which enjoyed a sell-out performance at Depot, followed by a successful director Q&A.

Special mentions also go to Jason Barker’s documentary, A Deal with the Universe, and Peter Farrelly’s Green Book.
