Former Hove resident, John Hillcoat is the director of THE PROPOSITION (2005) and THE ROAD (2009) based on the novel by Cormac McCarthy. His latest film LAWLESS, adapted from Matt Bondurant’s novel, ‘The Wettest County in the World’ was selected for competition in Cannes in May 2012.
John is a regular collaborator with Nick Cave, who wrote the screenplays for THE PROPOSITION and LAWLESS and co-wrote the score for both THE PROPOSITION and THE ROAD with Warren Ellis.
