The second in our series of screenings supported by Arts Council England.
Essentials: Pop presents iconic Pop films from the 1950s and 60s alongside work that preceded the Pop Art movement and work from its many legacies. Drawing on the proliferation of popular culture - music , advertisements, comic books, television and Hollywood films – these films offer radical new perspectives on mass production and popular culture. Each work in this collection is an inspired take on Pop by a pioneering artist.
