CINECITY
THE BRIGHTON FILM FESTIVAL
20TH NOVEMBER – 7TH DECEMBER 2008
CINECITY returns for its 6th edition this year from 20th November to 7th December. Presented in partnership with the Duke Of York's Picturehouse and the University of Brighton, CINECITY features a global mix of UK premieres and previews, treasures from the archives plus the latest digital adventures and artists' moving images.
CINECITY screens right across Brighton & Hove in all the city's cinemas and a host of other locations.
We are in the middle of putting this year's programme together and a number of programme strands are already taking shape. In 2008 we will be exploring the cinema of New Europe; examining the work of the extraordinary Brothers Quay with a special exhibition; and celebrating the film making talent in Brighton with our Brighton Screening Day.
Highlights from the 2007 festival included an opening night preview of Ang Lee's LUST CAUTION, previews of the Cannes award winner 4 MONTHS, 3 WEEKS, 2 DAYS, PERSEPOLIS, and DIVING BELL AND THE BUTTERFLY.
Remember to sign up for our email newsletters for regular festival updates and special offers. CINECITY is supported by Brighton & Hove City Council, Screen South / UK Film Council and the University of Brighton.
